"wake up call" appreciated

I believe sometimes being harsh is good. If God can be angry, what more we, as human and children of God ? Kudos to Bro Frank and I am for the "wake up call". Since Bro Frank speaks on behalf of us and acting as a channel between the Church Leaders and us, it would be good to provide comments and views on various issues of the Church. It is then our Church Pastors/leaders are able to plan (with God's wisdom) and help us in our spiritual walk with God.

Proverbs 27:4
"Open rebuke is better, Than love carefully concealed"

I remember Pastor J was sharing something (correct me if I am wrong) about being in a community (meaning church, cell group..etc) we are like "durians"(odd representation but it's true in a way), coming together at times we poked each other left and right unintentionally. As bro and sis in Christ, I believe we can over come the "uncomfortable" feeling and come work together in harmony and doing away with our humanly differences to do God's work.

Proverbs 27:17
"As iron sharpens iron, So man sharpens the countanance of his friend"

When we come to Church or Cell Groups, it is not just about us, it is ultimately about God and Church leaders (guided by God's wisdom) to help fellow church members to realise their calling.
As for the Church leaders, we as members do hope that when comments are being made, it is because it is you, the Church leaders called for it and all views and comments are to be taken constructively and open mindedly. Bare in mind the "Durian" factor, if our comments and views sounds harsh, please understand that it is not our intention ;)

2 Timothy 2:24
"And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient"

God Bless and have a blessed week ahead.

  1. A gentle rebuke is a good remedy. It's healthy for everyone to voice their opinions whether positive or negative. The trouble is I have the habit of putting forward my opinions too strongly. Thousand apologies! Only when doubts & suspicions are ironed out can we move forward. However as members we have to be consciously aware that leaders cannot accommodate all opinions when making decision. therefore we have to support the leaders once decision is made. Agree to Disagree. GB

  2. It is good to have this type of occassion..so that everybody can re-examine / refresh individual's christainity walk..are we moving forwards and "stop" at a certain point oledi..

Every member in this cell wants to grow with the Church, that is we view our views seriously not for the sake of present our views and present..If somehow our views are put aside or not looked into it..we can't do much. There is no way our views is forever not a good view for the church,if it is,we must exmaine ourself why our view is not a good view..we must continue to do what we need to do..like it or not.We love the church we care about the church that is we are here to give our view. GB :)p/s who m i?

  4. Dearly, Beloved bros/ sisters in Christ. On matters of church and cg group assignments,I have spoken to all the Ps. of our cg views and opinions when there's an oppurtunity. I still believe Paul cg are matured and have strong convictions for the good of the church. Whether it's accepted or not, we need to continue to persevere and say what the spirit of God lead us for the good of everyone. For the spiritual growth of our cg and the church of Jesus Christ, we are to encourage/serve one another.Share with the Ps./leaders our loads/ problems/ celebrations. We sow in the spirit as God is spirit and we will reap the reward from Him which is eternal. And to do good to all esp. to those who belongs to God's family with you, we the believers. We can agree to disagree but let's not be disagreeable, for we are His beloved children,Holy nation and Royal priesthood. Much love,GBU. Bro. Frank
