My partner Veron was sharing with me about a discussion she and her cell members during their cell group meeting last Friday night - Is it ok to tell a "white Lie" ? As anticipated, there were different opinions and views on it.
Some said it was ok because it is not harmful and some say "a lie is a lie - no such thing as white lie or black lie". Here's a scenario - If a person has two months to live and the doctor had informed you about it (and ask you to inform that person), would you tell him that he or she has two months to live or tell him ( a "white lie" ) that everything is fine ?
I find it interesting...Any comments or views on this ? ;)

I hope I can share my little experience in this matter as i too had to struggle with this as I walk with the Lord.I use to think it's ok to lie, white/black. Not anymore! as I am often convicted by the Holy spirit that a lie is a lie, jz as a sin is a sin whether big or small. By the grace of God we can still stand before Him and ask for forgiveness after we lie or sin. That's the righteousness of Jesus Christ given to us at no charge by His death and resurrection at the cross. That's what Jesus meant that we are not under the Law but under the Spirit of the living God. Yet, the law must be fulfilled as we are not of this world but we are in this world.
