Prayer Request

My partner Veron is requesting prayer for her husband Adrian Yong. His left eye had a serious infection (may have due to his diabetic problem) and spreading to his right eye. The main concern would be that the eye sight is deteriorating in an alarming rate (started a week ago) especially on his left eye which he can't even see the car number plate in front of him (even with his glasses on).

Cheers and God Bless ~

Godtube.com - The you tube version for Christians ?

Would like to share this site with you where you can listen christian songs and sermons, watch christian mtv and read various articles related to Christianity.
Attached is the mtv for the song "Communion" by Third Day which I shared during communion last month.

Enjoy ;)

Is there any such thing as a "white lie" ?

My partner Veron was sharing with me about a discussion she and her cell members during their cell group meeting last Friday night - Is it ok to tell a "white Lie" ? As anticipated, there were different opinions and views on it.
Some said it was ok because it is not harmful and some say "a lie is a lie - no such thing as white lie or black lie". Here's a scenario - If a person has two months to live and the doctor had informed you about it (and ask you to inform that person), would you tell him that he or she has two months to live or tell him ( a "white lie" ) that everything is fine ?
I find it interesting...Any comments or views on this ? ;)

God Bless and have a blessed day ;)

Breaking Through th Wall of Jerico

Hi,
After so long I'm able to break into this blog to chat, probably went round and round 7 times.

Request from Casey

A request made by Casey to post our picture (one of the very rare photos where my tummy does not show) here on this blog. I believe it was taken during Bro Frank's Anniversary Dinner ?

Cheers and GB ;)

"wake up call" appreciated

I believe sometimes being harsh is good. If God can be angry, what more we, as human and children of God ? Kudos to Bro Frank and I am for the "wake up call". Since Bro Frank speaks on behalf of us and acting as a channel between the Church Leaders and us, it would be good to provide comments and views on various issues of the Church. It is then our Church Pastors/leaders are able to plan (with God's wisdom) and help us in our spiritual walk with God.

Proverbs 27:4
"Open rebuke is better, Than love carefully concealed"

I remember Pastor J was sharing something (correct me if I am wrong) about being in a community (meaning church, cell group..etc) we are like "durians"(odd representation but it's true in a way), coming together at times we poked each other left and right unintentionally. As bro and sis in Christ, I believe we can over come the "uncomfortable" feeling and come work together in harmony and doing away with our humanly differences to do God's work.

Proverbs 27:17
"As iron sharpens iron, So man sharpens the countanance of his friend"

When we come to Church or Cell Groups, it is not just about us, it is ultimately about God and Church leaders (guided by God's wisdom) to help fellow church members to realise their calling.
As for the Church leaders, we as members do hope that when comments are being made, it is because it is you, the Church leaders called for it and all views and comments are to be taken constructively and open mindedly. Bare in mind the "Durian" factor, if our comments and views sounds harsh, please understand that it is not our intention ;)

2 Timothy 2:24
"And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient"

God Bless and have a blessed week ahead.

Rev Mohan Raj's visit during CG meeting

Bro David and Sis Phui Si being showered with blessings by Rev Mohan Raj.

Rev Mohan Raj blessing Bro Alvin and Sis Casey and we have faith that God will bless them with children. Hallelujah, Praise the Lord.

CG Meeting on 220808

PTL, last night all members must have realised that our leader's patience was running thin and indeed it sounded harsh to some but it was his genuine efforts and his true expression of love for all the members. I hope that it will serve as a "wake up call" for all of us and cause us to be more active in participation and expression of views when requested. We should not be shy, after all, we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. No one is perfect.........only God is.

If Silence is Golden, many would have left many previous CG meetings richer. We, as the members of the Cell Group should not adopt such constant quiet behaviour but respect our good leader who has frequently seek for opinions and feed backs.

Thank you Bro Frank for your patience and tireless efforts in looking after your sheep. May the Lord bless you and family exceeding abundantly.

Syabas.

Sis Michelle's birthday

Selamat Hari Jadi Chikgu......soli, Guru Besar Designate.....Puji Tuhan.

Blessed Birthday and Many happy returns.

All your qualities are 31, 10, 31. ...Not vital statistics lah but see Proverbs 31:10-31. Hallelujah.

Keep shining for Jesus dear Sis, I shall continue to remember your birthday but will forget your age, so no worries lah.

God bless.

Special Day today-20082008

May today, 20.08.2008 brings forth further blessings to our nation, Malaysia and review to the hearts of every Malaysian/Christian who intends to migrate, that Malaysia is their homeland. They should not run away but instead continue to do the Lord's works here. Afterall, Christian means as "slave of Christ" just as Caesarian meant " slave to Caesar".

Lord, bless our country, our leaders and our people and let there be peace and harmony throughout the country from this date forth and forever more.

Bless our church, Pastors, leaders, members and families too.Bless each of us like today's date, "yee ding ding fatt" (In cantonese) , surely we can fatt and we WILL fatt.

God bless

PD. Church Camp.

Indeed we miss you all at the camp. The attendance was good especially where most of the children we're on holidays enjoying the break. As for the ladies they too had a good break(no household chores haha! sorry ladies no pun intended!) and most important they learn alot on the question of finance and how to spend your money ,wisely. Overall, the teaching is really for Christain bros/Sisters in business or self employed. I find his teaching helpful and refreshing esp. after being in my profession for 30+ars. I've learned alot just over these 3days from Ps. Kindah Greening, whose is a very successful and dynamic pastor. He is both the Chairman and CEO of King's Church in Goldcoast which is the largest church(30+acres land with numerous buildings and college too) and with 380 staff. His vision of a church in the community, for the community is something I find it's very enriching. His frank and honest opinion about church and its people is very true and down to earth eventhough he moves very powerfully in the spirit realm. He has been preaching/teaching for the last 45years both in Indoonesia/ Malaysia and around the world. He told us that our camp is the 1st assignment after his open heart surgery 5months ago. But, he does not look like a person who shows any signs of fatigue or tiredness for he has such fire power in him that most of us were glued to our seats by his passion for the Lord. A warm and humble man of God whose is not ashamed to cry before us for the love and compassion for poor and needy. That's all my bros/sisters for now . Hope to tell you more about when we meet next. GBU, Bro. frank/ Sids. Jo' and family

NLRC's maintenance saga is nearly over

Hallelujah, the wait will SOON be over and we shall be able to have a more comfortable place on Sunday mornings.

Pastor Ron has in his latest 'Friendly, Fun and Faith-Filled Church' email to the church leaders dated 15th August 2008, mentioned the following amongst his other announcements:-

"For your information, Sis Loo Ann and Ps Lawrence has been working hard with the maintenance committee to identify the leaks in the church. The rain has spoiled a fair bit of our carpet and walls and I am sorry that some of you, especially the Youth who sits at that particular section most affected, have to put up with loose carpet and discoloured walls. A few of our church engineers and architect have been going around the church building to identify the problems and we are starting to do some repairs around the church. Please be patient with us. We hope to get church in good working order as fast as we can."

Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.

PD Church Camp 2008

Last Sunday, there were talks being mentioned that the response was not too good for the camp and hope that it was only rumours. Sometimes, it may be a case of "no smoke without fire" too.

We had a taste of the camp's Speaker Rev Kindah Greening yesterday and he sounded well despite his recent few heart operations, PTL. Hope all present at the camp will have tremendous time with God's presence at Avillion Admiral Cove. PCG will be represented by our wonderful leader , Bro Frank, Sis Jo and family and our ever faithful, Sis Amelia. For all other members who were unable to attend, including yours truly, I am sure God has seen all our hearts and would have forgiven us. Amen. GB

Samuel is Under God's protection

PTL. Samuel has settled in very nicely and quickly eventhough he was uncomfortable initially at UH. God's hand and protection is on him, so far no less than 10 docs includg. 1 senior consultants, 1 lecturer and host of medical officers and interns have seen him. Samuel is responding well and the bacteria is under control. He may have to stay back for a few more days to fully recover. We were told that there will be a couple of professors looking into his treatment plan and further examinations. God is in control. We trust God will direct them for the best course of actions to take for Samuel. Thanks to all the Pastors/bro/sisters of NLRCwho have been regularly visiting him and giving us such supoort and encouragement. We love you all. Bro. Frank ,Jo' and family
Sorry to hear that u hv resigned. I hope you will continue to serve when time permits. No matter what, God is with you and he will be your guide. I hope you will be able to serve again in the ETF and others what God has put into your heart for the Church. In His time everything will turn out to be good. God bless

Resignation from ETF and Maintenace

After much consideration due to personal reasons, with immediate effect ,brothers and sisters please note that I shall inform the church shortly that I shall quit my posts as committee members for ETF and also maintenance. I regret to have taken this decision and have let NLRC down but I trust that the church will be able to get a better replacement. I wish to apologise to all related members and I believe the church will continue to to move forward for greater things.
