Eternal Word

I came across the following article on Eternal Word which I hope is edifying:-

Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit - is the true constant in a changing world. And the words which they declare can be trusted always. Their words have life in them. Their words are eternal. Their words are truth.

I give you a simple encouragement today to hold on to the truth of God's Word.We live in a time when the authority of the Word is being debated. We live in a time when we hear certain passages are not culturally relevant and therefore excuses are made. Don't get me wrong, there are some parts that culture needs to be considered. But, and I say this clearly, some parts that are considered culturally irrelevant are relevant but people feel it is too unreasonable or requires too much of themselves or others.Sometimes we can excuse away certain truths because we want to be inclusive of alternative lifestyles and different beliefs. This is not a healthy or correct way of handling God's Word. Personal lifestyles and beliefs do not determine the validity of God's Word. It works in reverse. God's Word is the only true filter for what is right and wrong. So how much value do you place on God's Word today?I pray we all get a greater revelation of the power of truth in our lives. And I pray that we all live our lives out of the eternal Word of God that will never pass away.
