Testimony
Some time back in the year 2004, I received a call from London seeking advice as to whether Jeng Xian was fit to fly. His platelet level was very low. The first thing that crossed my mind was dengue infection, as this is the most common cause of thrombocytopaenia in Malaysia. After reviewing the lab report from London, I sensed something more sinister as other cell counts were also low. I was relieved when the most respected haematologist in the country diagnosed this as parvo virus infection, a not too dreadful condition.
Then came the Feb 08 episode of vomiting blood. Investigations revealed the fearful aplastic anaemia. Treatment started, then disaster struck. Within a short period, Jeng Xian lapsed into coma. HOW COULD THAT BE ?
Everyone was stunned, helpless and clueless. The specialists taking care of him tried their very best but gloom and doom were written on their faces. As a friend for more than 10 yrs and as a doctor, I could offer neither help nor advise. Out of desperation, we turned to God. We started a 24 hr prayer chain. All cell members and almost all church members united as God's mighty army and prayed. Within days, the motionless body began to show twitches from the finger progressing to the limbs. Hearing, vision and speech regained slowly but surely. Within weeks, Jeng Xian could stand and now he is walking and running !!
"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God." Psa 20:7
Shamefully, I have to confess that, I trusted the chariots and horses, and called on God only when all else failed!
Despite placing God last, He still hears our prayers and answers our request.
"The LORD is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion." num14-18
Out of His abounding love He still delivers us from the crutch of the enemies.
He NEVER forsakes us.
To Frank, Jo, JC, May, JH, your courage, your faith has amazed us. To Jeng Xian, you are God's grace revealed!

Rejoice ! Born Again Brian Siew.
I have been informed that Brian Siew has just been water baptised last Sunday ! Praise the Lord. I am sure all of us will rejoice over his obedience.
It was rather difficult to convince Brian to go through the Water baptism when he was with us last year in KL nevetheless, I continue to encourage him via mail, to be obedient to God. Hallelujah, now he did it !. God must have touched him. In fact, he wanted to wait for Pastor Loh to baptise him when Pastor and Sis Vivienne visit Bro Alex later in September but obviously, he could not wait lah.
I remember vividly when I took Brian to NLRC, he was very shy and reserve (he probably still is) but ever since he accepted Christ to be his Lord and Saviour, I can see the various positive changes in him. I am sure Sis Joyce must have been most delighted over his water baptism. All glory to God. GB.

RE: Samuel's Testimony
Date of admission; 18th feb 2008. A call from school SKBD from Samuel , vomitted blood and traces of blood in stool on the morning in school. Immediately Jo' and I called Bro. Liu who ask to take him to SJMC to see Dr. Lin. Blood test shows low platelets, hemoglobin, white blood cell etc all very low and at very dangerous level. Further test to detemine actual problem after intitial blood test, bone marrow test was carried out. Results due in a few days to find the cause and to determine the disease. Samuel been hospitalised for 5days while waiting for results. Results 2oth feb 2008, confirmed not leukamia but dr.lin feared it was Aplastic Aneamia which has a lower survival rate than lukeamia . Decision to implement 2prong treatment with a final (BMT)Bone marrow transplant if both not sucessful, immuno suppression therapy........1st usung Horse serum ATG which last for 5days.....Samuel had alot of side effects and esp severe headaches and sharp excuriating pain at the back near the kidney areas. double vision after the second day treatment and cannot open his eyes. Continous prayers and crying out to the Lord for help as seeing him going through such pain and agony. on the 5th day the treatment stopped and dr. was pleased with theresults but samuel was not feeling well and sickly. However dr. said he can be discharged ie. 26th Feb08, but i was not happy. Samuel was readmitted on the 28th Feb morning with a severe attack of pain on the back and headcahe and worst of all he could not move and not able to speak at all.he was delirious and same time in great pain and cnnot comprehend or answer us. We took him straight back to SJMC where for the enxt few weeks his condition began to deterioate. Dr. Lin did not think it was serious and the whole day was just being monitored with minimum treatment or medical care. at about 9.30pm Jo',Ps. Loh,Viv and I ,esp Jo felt there's something very wrong with Samuel as he was motionless.... we called for emergency and by midnight Samuel was wheeled to ICU 29th Feb 08...

Trip To Tapah
PTL we've done it. Visit to Pr Park OA settlements is an eye opener. His dedication to the Lord has really inspired all of us. Everyone of us has learnt something new.
The Holy spirit empowered bro Frank to preach in BM, and Michelle to interprete, H.M.Choong and David too gave testimonies in Bahasa fluently. Our youngest missionary, Riana and other ladies, Carin, Evelyn brought much fun and joy the the children. Jo exercised the healing power of God. Best lagi worship leader Casey together with OA Romel (guitarist) brought in anointing of the holy spirit. Our logistic experts Wilson(who also danced like David during worship) Alvin providing transport, and pau that make us hungrier and water that quenched our thirst.
Not forgetting those of you who planned for the games, sourced and packaged gifts days before the trip. Credit goes to Phui Si, Mae, Carin and their drivers.
For those who missed this chance, don't despair, share our joy by clicking the picture/video below.
